Accessible interviewing

This video provides simple suggestions of how you can adapt interviews to make the experience more accessible for young people.

For young people new to the world of work, a formal interview situation can be intimidating and off putting. Adapting your standard interview technique and approach can allow the candidate to better show their skills and characteristics.

We have developed these tips based on information gathered at focus groups held with 16-24 year olds. The video may be of particular benefit to staff who are new to the interview process.
